This is our attempt at capturing yesterday's solar eclipse. Roches Point was a great location to view this once in a lifetime event. If you look closely at the second image you can see sun spots, these are cooler spots on the surface of the sun. Once the eclipse reached its max, there was an eerie feeling and a strange light fell over the landscape. I hope you got to see it where you were

Nightfall at that Gallarus Oratory.
Located on the Di**le Peninsula, County Kerry, there is much debate as to it's age, with general consensus that it is more than 1,000 years old, perhaps even 1,400 years old.

A spectacular sunset at Roches Point Lighthouse yesterday evening. Roches Point Lighthouse marks the entrance, guiding ships into Cork Harbour, which is the second largest natural harbor in the world after Sydney Harbour, a key historical departure point for millions of Irish emigrants, and the home of the Port of Cork shipping hub.
