We are delighted to announce the 2026 INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCY artist: JAN KUKUŁKA

JAN KUKUŁKA is a printmaker from Poland, where he continues to reside. Graduating in 2023 with Honours from Academy of Fine Art and Design in Katowice, Poland, Jan's work spans multiple mediums with special focus on printmaking, drawing, painting & video. Kukułka’s artistic projects explore human connection and experience of space and time in the digital age.
They tackle concepts such as escapism, nostalgia and ‘deep time’. He is also interested in themes of manufacturing authority by business gurus, political influencers or podcasters.

Jan has been the recipient of multiple awards including Best Debut Award at 12th Polish Print Triennial (2024), Honorary Distinction at International Print Triennial in Kraków (2024), & International Biennial of Miniature Art (2024).
His work has featured in numerous domestic & international printmaking exhibitions.

will join us this August where he will commence work on a new project exploring correlations between “deep time” and “deep space”, taking inspiration from 19th century prints depicting cosmic & natural phenomena.

LP extends huge thanks to every creative from all over the world who applied for this residency.
We received a record number of applications this year, from a diverse and exceptionally talented cohort of creatives working across the globe.

The standard of applicants made the selection process incredibly challenging for our team but only reinforced our conviction that printmaking is a powerful & vibrant artform that is more relevant today than ever.

The LP INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCY aims to provide an accessible opportunity for printmakers, photographers, & creators to expand and explore their practice in a different studio setting.

The award includes high quality accommodation (with costs covered by LP), a cost of living contribution, and a materials stipend.

We look forward to welcoming Jan to our space & supporting his aims.
