Continuing on from last week, let us introduce you to some more of our amazing women on the CityGym Powerlifting team

These three ladies are some of the strongest powerlifters in the country and have the work ethic and determination to match
To compete at the highest international level in this sport takes a lot of commitment & these three ladies have dedicated a lot to this sport and are continuing to grow

So coach Alex Cremins boys are up first
Adam totalled a very impressive 660KG In his second ever meet squatting a ridiculous 270KG Whilst being down 10KG in bodyweight since his last competition, insane work and he’s only getting started
Shane also took home 1st place in his class after a close shave ( ✂️) at weigh ins, a 550kg total and more room to grow (out his hair)
Liam Malone handled Oisin Ures Maher to a silver podium position and a very impressive 522.5kg total in the u74’s for a 22.5KG comp PB
Well done to all our coaches and athletes who took part in this comp an made this comp another one to watch

We’ve got some incredible people on the CityGym powerlifting team, and over the next few weeks we want to introduce you to some of the ladies who are at the heart of the team.
First up we’ve got Catriona, Sarah and Dawn.
Each of them has their own story, their own reasons for stepping onto the platform, and their own journey through the sport. What they all share is a love for training and a willingness to put in the work.

Elaine is getting straight back into prep for the European championships in Lithuania so we are looking forward to watching here international career flourish ☘️
with an insanely impressive 270KG Squat with only a week left of his prep for the all Ireland championship
Adam’s prep is almost complete and he has managed to retain his strength on squat whilst cutting down a weight class which in itself is also a big achievement
We are excited to see Adam back on the platform this June ❤️🖤
