My favourite affirmation for all the wonderful little children that attend for paediatric physiotherapy. I always say to parents that physio is “hard” no matter what age. We do have tears. As paediatric physiotherapist my job is to provide specialist physiotherapy treatment that may sometimes be challenging for little ones. However it is always done through fun, creative play activities to enable them to be their very best selves. Hence,
“I can and I will Lil” and the name of my practice “PhysioFun”

So delighted to have sourced this wonderful new (to me) toy. Every paediatric therapist will know and love this toy. A very valuable addition to my paediatric physio practice and we will have great fun with it in Movement, Music & Sensory.

There is now a concern regarding the shortage of Public Health Nurses. Parents in some parts of the country are now expected to do some of their baby’s development checks.
If you have any concern regarding your baby’s development please do contact your local paediatric physiotherapist.
Be proactive rather than reactive.
Never sit on your worries and as I say in all my baby classes - trust your instincts.

We will be chatting about colic and baby massage in week 2. Colic is the name of excessive and frequent crying in an otherwise healthy baby and we don’t know the reason for colic.

Colic can be very upsetting for parents. It is hard to see your baby in pain.

However, all is not lost. Baby massage may help alleviate the symptoms of colic. It will also help both you and baby to relax, thus managing pain better.
