Perys Hotel Limerick

Mass for Denis will be in St John's Cathedral at 11am on Friday morning the 16th of October. There will be a guard of honour after Mass at approximately 11.30 for past and present staff of the Pery / Glentworth hotel as a tribute to a dear Friend and colleague.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this today on the passing of Denis Mulcahy.

A wonderful man of such character who put a smile on the faces of so many during his time in the Glentworth / Pery Hotel. I know that I speak on behalf of every customer that met him and every staff member that worked with him during his 40 years of service when I say that he was loved. Our thoughts and prayers are with his darling wife, Carmel, affectionately known as his “Sweet Pea” his daughter Mary his sons, Pat, Paul, Leo and Joe and all of their families. He will be sorely missed by so many people.

To all of our valued customers,

We hope you are well at this time. After 3 long and difficult months many hotels have re-
opened since yesterday the 29th June 2020 and I would like to wish them all the very best during what will be a very challenging time.

Pery’s is a small independently owned and operated property and the government restrictions that are currently in place are simply not attainable for a property of our size. It is for that reason, and regrettably so that we have taken the decision to remain closed for the moment.

The health, safety & welfare of all of our staff and customers must remain our first and only
priority so we will continue to work behind the scenes to ensure that we are fully compliant
with all guidelines set out. Our hope is that these will be eased over the coming weeks and we will then be in a position to re-open our doors and welcome you all back again very
soon.

We will keep you all updated on any developments & we look forward to seeing you all in the not too distant future.

After careful consideration and in light of our Governments instruction to restrict some sectors of the business, we have had to make the extremely difficult decision to close until further notice.

We feel that this is a necessary measure in an effort to combat the spread of the covid-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our staff & the public must be our priority, above all else!
