Our school basketball teams had a fantastic day at the Basketball Blitz in the Salesians yesterday, taking on teams from Scoil Íde and Scoil Máthair Dé.
There were excellent games throughout the day, with great teamwork, skill and sportsmanship on display from all involved.
Most importantly, everyone had lots of fun and represented the school brilliantly. A special thank you to Tony for organising the blitz and for kindly funding the referees. And to Bríd and Robin for preparing the kids for the event.
A great day of basketball for all!

We had a fantastic day in UL yesterday, at the LSP athletics event, where 40 pupils proudly represented our school. From the 80m sprints right through to the exciting 400m relays, every child gave their all and did the school proud.
Despite the mixed weather throughout the day, the children’s energy and enthusiasm never faded.
They showed great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship in every event and were a credit to both the school and their families.
The girls’ competition was incredibly close and came right down to the final race, making for a very exciting finish.
The boys also performed brilliantly throughout the day and were delighted to come away as winners of their category! Trophy is tow.
A huge thank you to the UL students who helped out on the day. They were fantastic with the children, offering constant encouragement and support throughout all the events.
It was a brilliant day all around and one that our pupils will remember for a long time.
A sincere thank you to Bríd and Lise, along with Michael, Grace, Sarah, Maria, Rachel and Lucy for all their work preparing the children and supporting them on the day.
Your time, encouragement and dedication are greatly appreciated.
Well done everyone!

Over the coming weeks, pupils from
1st–6th Class will begin standardised
testing. We encourage all children to
simply do their best and to approach
the tests calmly and confidently.
These assessments are just one small
snapshot of learning and help us to
support children in their educational
journey.
We are looking forward to our
annual Plant & Cake Sale taking place
this Friday. A huge thank you to
Sylvia for once again donating plants
for the sale and to our senior pupils
for all their baking efforts. We hope
to see many families there supporting
this lovely school tradition.
Thank you, as always, to our parents
and wider school community for your
continued support. It is greatly
appreciated and plays such an
important role in the vibrant, caring
atmosphere of LSP.

We look forward to marking this milestone together.

Cars are not permitted to drive onto the school yard at any time. This includes after school hours, as there are often still children on the grounds attending after-school activities.
We ask for your cooperation in helping us keep the school grounds safe for all pupils.

We would like to extend warm wishes to all the families in the LSP school community who are celebrating Holi.
Holi is a joyful festival that celebrates the arrival of spring, the triumph of good over evil and the beauty of colour, community and togetherness. It is often known as the Festival of Colours, a time when families and friends come together to celebrate with music, laughter and vibrant colours.
We hope that all those celebrating enjoy a happy, colourful and joyful Holi with their families and loved ones.
At LSP we are proud of the rich diversity within our school community and value the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the many cultural traditions that make our school such a vibrant and welcoming place.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
I would like to sincerely thank you for your fantastic support of the Buy a Book initiative for the Zones of
Regulation. To date, 30 books have been purchased for the school, and this is already proving to be a
wonderful resource that will support our children’s emotional wellbeing across all classes.
I would also like to thank you for your continued support of the Red Envelope contribution. This funding is allowing us to invest in valuable STEM resources for the school, helping to enhance hands-on learning, curiosity, and problem-solving for our pupils.
Your generosity and ongoing support make a real difference to school life, and we are very grateful
to you for working in partnership with us.
Kind regards,
Pamela
