Applications to be an AMSI-Ireland delegate at the IFMSA March Meeting 2020 are OPEN! Spend a week in Rwanda with nearly a thousand other medical students from around the world. Thank you to everyone who came out to watch this years Medical Case Competition. A special congratulations to the winner, Ashlyn Eff, who will be representing UL at the National Medical Case Competition.
Congratulations to our Runner Up Ian Nora, Honorable Mention Chiu, and Finalists Eric Hutfluss and Aisling Egan for competing in the Medical Case Competition.
Everyone did an amazing job and it was incredible to see the complexity of each case. We hope this encouraged the current 2nd and 3rd years in competing next year.
A special thank you to our amazing judges Dr. James O’Hare, Dr. Deirdre McGrath, and Dr. Majella Scanlan for taking the time to be part of this event.
And of course, thank you to our AMSI members for working so hard to organize this event! See you all next year!

Enter the case competition for a chance to represent your school at the national level! It's an even bigger and better competition this year with significant prizes and recognition to be won! Not to mention how awesome it'll look in your Dean's Letter and your CV! :)

The deadline for the UL Medical Case Competition CASE PROPOSALS has been EXTENDED to MONDAY FEBRUARY 19th by midnight!

✔️Area of medicine
✔️Short paragraph describing your case (including why you think it is significant/interesting)
There is still plenty of time to let us know if wish to present! It is a great way to showcase your presentation skills and clinical talent…and it's also a sneak peek for first and second year students to see what the clinical years are all about!

Hey everyone!
Humans of Medical Education is coming to UL as part of Access Week from Feb 12 to Feb 16
The aim of the week is to highlight barriers people face when accessing medical education and increasing awareness of these barriers. This is a national campaign run in all medical schools across Ireland and we hope lots of people share their thoughts!
AMSI will be at the GEMS foyer this week where we invite you to come up and share your stories on barriers you may have faced in medical education and suggestions you may have on improving it. Your stories will then be featured during Access Week throughout the Building - You have the option of being anonymous or providing us with a picture for posting it on Facebook.
If you'd like to be completely anonymous and share your thoughts, you can do so on the survey below!
