As part of Local Development Week 2026, we're shining a spotlight on the people and projects helping to create a more sustainable Limerick.
In this video, Michael and Hannah share how Limerick City Partnership works with communities to reduce waste, support community growing, improve access to good food, and help households take practical climate action.
From turning food waste into compost for community gardens to projects such as the Geodome at St. John the Baptist National School in Garryowen, these initiatives show how local action can make a real difference for communities and the environment.

Grants can play an important role in helping community groups, voluntary organisations and local initiatives turn ideas into action, improve facilities and deliver services that make a difference.
This week, our team is hosting two Grant Application drop-in Clinics, offering information, practical support and guidance on local and national funding opportunities.
