The Search for the Perfect White

There’s no such thing as “the perfect white.” That’s the truth we keep coming back to.

White shifts with everything around it , the direction of light through a window, the colour of a floor, the undertone of the timber sitting beside it. A white that glows in a north-facing room can feel flat and cold the moment the sun moves. So when we’re specifying white for a space, we’re never really choosing a colour. We’re choosing a relationship between wall and light, between finish and texture, between warmth and restraint.

A new chapter is taking shape.
We’re thrilled to share the beginning of an exciting new venture — the transformation of a beautiful old cottage into our new studio space. In time, this will become a true hub for design and display: a place where beautiful craftsmanship, antiques and art all come together under one roof.

There’s something special about breathing new life into a space with so much history, and we can’t wait to bring our vision to it. More to come as the transformation unfolds.

After such a wonderful few days at , I’m very happy to be back home and embracing the slower moments this weekend. Time to rest, recoup and take it all in.

A huge thank you to and from The Gloss for inviting me to be part of such a special event. It was a real privilege, and I loved every minute of it.

And thank you to everyone who came along, stopped to chat, introduced themselves, shared kind words or simply said hello. Meeting so many of you was genuinely one of the highlights of the week.

Now for a quiet weekend at home, a little reset, and some much-needed slow time after a very full and very special week.

A wonderful start to

What a brilliant afternoon at Focus/Design Week London, speaking at Visual Comfort all about lighting and the role it plays in creating atmosphere, warmth and depth within a space.

A real pleasure to share the panel with such talented designers, including fellow Irish designer and Limerick man Brian Wolfe.

And what a wonderful MC, Noni Ware from House & Garden, who guided the conversation so beautifully.

A fireplace is so much more than the surround. Every detail matters, right down to the internal structure.

The chamber itself can become such a beautiful feature, adding depth, texture and character to the room. Whether finished in aged brick, stone or a beautifully considered material, it’s an opportunity to make the fireplace feel completely integrated into the architecture.
