End of Year Reflection Thomond Community College
As another school year comes to a close, we reflect on an incredible journey at Thomond Community College. For some students, this was the beginning of their journey with us, while for others it marked the end of a memorable chapter.
This year was filled with wonderful experiences, achievements, and opportunities. We strengthened connections with a wide range of organisations and celebrated the diversity of our school community through our vibrant Multicultural Day. We enjoyed Sports Day, Christmas celebrations, merit awards, scholarships, attendance awards, ethos awards, and so many other special moments.
Our students participated in countless sporting events, clubs, and extracurricular activities, creating memories, friendships, and experiences that will last a lifetime. We were also honoured to welcome the Minister for Education to our school during the year.
A sincere thank you to our dedicated staff, hardworking students, supportive parents, and the wider community for making this such a successful year. Thomond Community College is a very special place, full of laughter, togetherness, opportunity, and lasting memories.
We wish everyone a safe, happy, and enjoyable summer and look forward to another fantastic year

On Friday, we said goodbye to a much-valued member of our school community, Ms O’Callaghan, and thanked her for seven years of dedicated service to our students and staff.
As a past pupil of Salesian Secondary School, it has been wonderful to see her return as a teacher and make such a positive impact on the lives of so many young people. Teaching Business and Learning Support, she always placed students at the heart of everything she did.
Ms O’Callaghan also played a key role in promoting opportunities for young women through her involvement with Teen-Turn, inspiring students to explore STEM pathways and future careers.
Her kindness, dedication, and support for others have left a lasting mark on our school community. We thank her for everything she has contributed and wish her every success and happiness in the future. She will be greatly missed

📚🇮🇪 A few weeks ago, our 6th Year History students travelled to Kilmainham Gaol with Ms O’Brien and Ms Murphy. The trip gave students a valuable insight into key events in Irish history, including the 1916 Easter Rising and Ireland’s fight for independence, bringing their classroom learning to life.
