❤️ FREE HEART SCREENING – A FEW PLACES REMAINING

Spa GAA is delighted to be hosting the Dillon Quirke Foundation National Cardiac Screening Programme at the club on Tuesday 30th June for our boys and girls aged 12–18 years.

The response from our members has been fantastic, with 40 of the 45 available appointments already booked, leaving just a handful of places remaining.

Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) tragically claims the lives of almost two young people every week in Ireland. Through cardiac screening, potential heart conditions can be identified early, helping to protect young athletes and save lives. Since its launch, the Dillon Quirke Foundation has screened almost 20,000 young athletes nationwide, with hundreds referred for further care and dozens of lives saved as a result.

We are proud to bring this important initiative to Spa and encourage any eligible members who have not yet registered to do so as soon as possible.

Spa attended the Munster LGFA Mothers & Others Blitz on Saturday.

A fantastic group of 14 ladies proudly kitted out for Spa and gave it their all on the field, where the sun shone all day.

We had great games against teams from Limerick, Cork, and Tipperary, with plenty of skill, determination, and fun on display throughout the day.

As always, the set-up in Mallow was exceptional, with everything running like clockwork. A special mention to LGFA referee John O'Neil, who even joined us during his break!

It was a brilliant day filled with great sportsmanship, laughter, and camaraderie. Everyone left it all on the field, and we rounded off the day with well-earned celebrations in the clubhouse afterwards.

Well done to our U8 girls who travelled to Killorglin on Saturday morning for the next round of the LGFA Lee Strand Go Games.

A big thank you to Laune Rangers GAA for hosting such a fun-filled blitz, complete with a very exciting dance class to get everyone warmed up!
