Dear Members and friends,

After 35 years as your Head Professional at Headfort Golf Club ,I have decided it’s time for me to retire from this position and start the next chapter of my Professional career.

I have informed the Club through the Honorary Secretary of my decision on May 1st that my retirement date will be December 31 2025.
I hope to meet with the Club in the coming weeks to finalise my exit strategy and smooth transition.
I would like to thank all the members and Staff for their support and friendship throughout my time at Headfort Golf Club.

It will be a sad time for my family and I as Headfort GC has been a second home for us with very happy memories.
During my time here I have witnessed the progression and development of the club from and 18 Hole golf course to a now 36 hole Championship venue, the envy of many clubs in the country.
It was a pleasure to represent Headfort Golf Club as a Professional player on the International Golf circuit and also carry my name over the door of the ProShop.
I value all the friendships that I have made during the past 35 years and I look forward to continuing these friendships on the golf course into the future.
I will communicate with you all further following my meeting with the Club regarding my exit strategy.
