Our 360 Filmmaking VR Experience Workshop, part of Cruinniú na nÓg, brought together a brilliant group of 13–17 year olds for three hours of hands on creativity, shooting their own film with 360 cameras and then stepping right into it with VR headsets.

Huge thanks to Mick Byrne and Terence White , Gorey School of Art for facilitating, and to every young person who got stuck in and made it such a fun, immersive day.

Delighted to welcome three Erasmus+ students from Spain to Hatch Lab Gorey this week!

Jorge, Enzo and Valentín are on a vocational training placement through the Erasmus+ programme, and their second day brought them through our doors for a tour of the space and a chance to see innovation and entrepreneurship in action.

It was brilliant to meet them and their teacher Luna, and to show them what's happening right here in Wexford. This is exactly the kind of cross-border connection that makes programmes like Erasmus+ so valuable.

A huge welcome to the lads, we're delighted Wexford is part of your adventure!

Hatch Lab member QedON has been making headlines following the recent launch of their new eLearning platform, ExpertEd, right here at The Hatch Lab.

The Gorey Guardian covered the story beautifully, spotlighting how Dylan Smith and Susan Madden MSc are on a mission to make professional learning and development accessible and affordable for SMEs who have historically been priced out of quality L&D.

With ATHE endorsement, Enterprise Ireland backing, equity investment secured, and international expansion into South Africa already in motion, it's safe to say ExpertEd is only getting started.

The Hatch Lab Gorey is taking part in on June 6th with a brilliant free workshop, a 360 Filmmaking VR Experience facilitated by Mick Byrne and Terence White from Gorey School of Art.

Teens aged 13–17 will learn to shoot film using 360 cameras and then watch it back through VR headsets and it runs from 2–5pm.

Yesterday we said goodbye to Iwona Turnea, who has been a valued member of the Hatch Lab team for the past 7 years.

Iwona has been an integral part of our operations since the early days, reliable, dedicated, and a constant presence in the day to day life of the hub.

She leaves having made a genuine and lasting contribution to what we've built here in Gorey.

We gathered for a farewell lunch to mark the occasion and wish her well on the road ahead.

We want to take a moment to thank Iwona sincerely for her years of service and wish her and her family every success and happiness in their next chapter.

Our Creative Writing & Creative Thinking workshop was a brilliant afternoon well spent, and the room agreed!

Cat Hogan led an incredible session on the fundamentals of storytelling, creative thinking techniques for business, and how to actually use your head when it comes to your writing and your brand.

Cat is an international bestselling novelist and screenwriter from Wexford, with a track record of facilitating workshops for businesses through the Local Enterprise Offices network and curating writing events all over Ireland, and it showed.

The workshop was brilliantly received, with plenty of big ideas, honest conversation about what storytelling can (and can't) do, and real takeaways for everyone in the room.
