⚫🔴 MATCH REPORT GOREY RANGERS 7–1 KILTEALY 🔴⚫

Another brilliant performance from our 3rd team today at Altura Credit Union Park, Ramstown as the lads made it four wins from four with an emphatic 7–1 victory over kiltealy.

⚽ Eoin Quigley x3
⚽ Alex Deveraux x2
⚽ Piaras O’Neill
⚽ Kayo Travers

A hat trick for Eoin Quigley led the way, with Alex Deveraux grabbing a brace and Piaras O’Neill and Kayo Travers also getting themselves on the scoresheet.

It wasn’t just the goals that impressed. There was some excellent football played throughout the game and a great effort from everyone involved.

Four games, four wins and we now sit top of Division 3A. 👏

One of the most encouraging aspects of the start to the season has been the strength of the entire squad. We’ve used over 30 players across our opening four games, with everyone who has come into the side playing their part and contributing to the results.

That squad depth and commitment will be hugely important as the season progresses. It’s been a fantastic start, but there’s a long way to go and the focus now has to be on keeping the standards high and pressing on.

Well done lads! 🔴⚫

⚽ U13A Match Report – Gorey Rangers 8-3 North End
The lads got on the scoresheet early today with an open goal from Lughan , which allowed the team to settle into the game and find their feet early on.
We created lots of chances throughout the match and showed some great attacking football, with the lads working hard and creating plenty of opportunities in and around the box.
There was some excellent football played at times, with good movement, passing and teamwork on show. The boys continued to battle right until the final whistle and can be very proud of their effort and commitment today.
⚽ Goalscorers:
Luaghan x2
Michael x2
Noah x2
Tom Keane x1
Harry x1
👏 A fantastic team performance from start to finish, with plenty of positives to take forward.
Well done lads! 🖤❤️⚽

Our clubs first ever u17s team hosted Freebooters today in the Leinster u17s Cup. A hard fought 1-0 win with the goal coming from Riley Atkins assisted by Liam O’Brien. Very strong performances all around the pitch in particular our standout defence of Joe Connolly, Evan Halford, Dean Hempenstall, Max Waters and goalkeeper Oscar Cullen Gonzalez who were constantly tested by the very well drilled Freebooters side.
Well done lads, that one was for Dano ❤️🖤

WFL Youths Premier

Enniscorthy Town 0-1 Rangers

We returned to league action yesterday morning where we faced a big physical Enniscorthy team on a tiny pitch. Playing down the hill in the first half we opened the scoring on the 13th minute when Jayson headed home a well taken Danzo corner. Im sure Jayson enjoyed that one 😉. We had most of the ball for the remainder of the half but couldn't find a second goal. 1-0 HT.

For the 45 minutes of the second half playing up
the hill, we faced long ball after long ball, our backline of Danny, Adam, Dom, Kern and Evan comfortably dealt with the aerial onslaught.

Really proud of the lads today who kept their heads in a physical game. Happy to get out of there with 3 points and our hill sprints done for the year 🖤❤️

The Gaffer is home, what a legend.

Well done Stephen, and thanks for taking on such a huge challenge for our great cause’s. Now enjoy the Spuds, bed early, and no more messing, we have a big game in the morning.

Remember you can still sponsor Stephen on Revolut to Billy on 0871261548.

Tomorrow is the big day for our 1st Team Manager Stephen. He steps well out of his comfort zone to take on the enormous challenge of a 46KM Eco Trail Ultra Marathon, and all in aid of our charity partner, Gorey Cancer Support and our new Floodlight Generator 🙏🏼.

Stephen has put in all the work and trained hard. He has been a big sportsman all his life, but it was usually chasing the soccer ball around the pitch, an he was a goalkeeper come centre forward, so he’s defo never ran any more than 5km at any time in his life 🤦🏻‍♂️.

In all seriousness though, we are incredibly grateful to Stephen for his efforts. By tomorrow afternoon he will be not only a Gorey Rangers Wexford Premier League Title Winning Manager, but he will have an Ultra Marathon Completed to go alongside it.

From everyone at Rangers, best of luck Ste, the whole club is behind you and you will have our angel Dano on your shoulder when it gets a little tough ❤️🖤.

We would also like to thank Nicky Boland and Paul Kirwan for there assistance to Stephen with regards to his training for this event 👏.

If anyone would like to sponsor Stephen you can Revolut Billy on 0871261548.
