I’m delighted to be speaking at FutureNeuro’s My Moving Brain on Saturday, November 1st, at the University of Galway.

This free community event — hosted with Epilepsy Ireland, the Neurological Alliance of Ireland, and Galway Sports Partnership — is part of a national series promoting brain health and inclusion in sport for people living with neurological conditions. Expect an inspiring mix of talks, inclusive “come and try” sports, and hands-on science activities, as we explore barriers to participation and share practical ways to make sport more accessible for everyone.

In my talk, “Never Accepting NO”, I’ll share some of my own journey and the lessons I’ve learned about resilience, determination, and challenging the limits others might set for you.

The event is open to people living with neurological conditions, their families, coaches, teachers, healthcare professionals, sports clubs, and anyone passionate about building more inclusive communities.

I’m proud to be part of the conversation and look forward to seeing many of you there.

Another very memorable and fantastic week pounding the roads of the .
Stage 2 completed and over 260kms walked in 5 days. But once again, this journey isn't about the endurance, it's about the human connections that are made.
Over the 5 days, i have met some of the nicest people who have put their hands in their pockets and donated to the .ie page for . Never mind that, I was fed, put up for a nights sleep and plenty of cups of tea along the way by the most generous and kind people. It's a journey that has filled me up with some much happiness. it's difficult to put it into words. A special mention to Chris and Catherine from , David Keogh from hotel, Evelyn and Richard who own a beautiful B&B in Bangor Erris and lastly to who walked 50kms with me on the 2nd last day. Top Man, with a top family and a person I can call a good friend.
West Coast of Ireland is beautiful. The people are incredible, and I can't wait for stage 3
But, now it's time for the family and, to let my blisters heal 😆

Walking Wild Atlantic Way 2025/26

So, my new journey begins, stage 1 completed. Newport, Co. Mayo to Roundstone, Co. Galway 232kms over 5 longs days on my feet.

Without doubt, one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had. Amazing daily fresh sea breeze, stunning scenery and getting to chat and meet incredible people all along the route, from strangers to old friends, it filled my heart with joy.

The journey re-confirmed what I believe is true, the world is filled with fantastic people, only willing to help and have a chat. We just need to make time for that possibility, in this crazy world.

Unfortunately, its not always possible, but I do believe we need to try harder for our own mental stability.
Relationships and people are what makes this world so amazing, but we are less connected in a world that is full of connectivity.

Enjoy some of the pictures from the Wild Atlantic Way

What a wonderful evening at the Irish Embassy in London with the amazing team from Spinal Injuries Ireland and their CEO Fiona Bolger

A huge thank you to Ambassador Martin Frazer, his wife Deirdre and Gerry Waldron, and his fabulous team who helped orgainse the event.

Only a few years ago, I felt lost, alone, and so dependent on others. But how things can change, last week, I had the privilege of giving a keynote speech in the Irish Embassy in front of so many great friends and donars of Spinal Injuries Ireland.

MY MESSAGE:

Don't ever give up on yourself, work hard every day, and believe you can accomplish great things. Day, by day, you will get there. Keep on fighting for your dreams and enjoy the journey.

Another great week last week, on site for around Dublin City. It was wonderful to be on tour with a true gentleman and getting such great feedback after each of our talks and knowing that we are beginning to lift that stigma, that asking for help is a weakness, a mental weakness. IT IS NOT, In fact, it's the strongest and bravest thing you can do because we can not fight all our battles on our own. For centuries, we have been programmed to stay strong and silent. It's time for change. A mentally strong man is a man who talks, who shares his problems, and seeks help so he can provide and protect his loved ones into the future.
ASkING FOR HELP IS THE MOST POWERFUL THING YOU CAN DO IN TIME OF A CRISIS.

Another great week out and about in Ireland on behalf of the incredible charity The Lighthouse Charity with good friend and colleague Andy Bishop. It is amazing the response on site when we deliver our talks and show people that it's ok to be vulnerable and to ask for help in their time of crisis. It's the smartest and bravest thing a person can do. Asking for help is the most powerful things you can do. A big thank you to MMD Construction (Cork) Ltd , Roadstone Ltd. and Mulcahy Construction for having us on site.

Another great day doing a truly rewarding talk to the fine students of Colaiste Muire Máthair from Galway City on behalf of Junior Achievement Ireland, who run this amazing program with the fantastic backing and help from Deloitte Ireland. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than being given the opportunity and trust to make an impact on young peoples lives. It's something I am extremely passionate about and feel very lucky to be allowed to do.
