Originally Florence Films was formed in 2011 to bring a new series called "ISSUES" to the screen. It consisted for the most part of a succession of psychotherapy sessions improvised around a theme. This concept was cast, scripted and filmed and a one-hour-length pilot was produced as a test case. So sad to hear of the tragic passing of the lovely Niamh Kavanagh. Niamh shot a few scenes for Bordeline with us many years ago and was a fantastic young talent. We send our thoughts to her family and friends. May Niamh rest in peace.

Paddy Prendergast RIP
Saddened to hear of the passing of Mayo’s Paddy Prendergast, who played on the Mayo senior football team which won All Ireland SFC titles in 1950 & 1951.
Prendergast was the last surviving member of the Mayo team which beat Meath in the 1951 decider.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Paddy’s wife Irene and his extended family.

AC Casting is coming back to Galway on Thursday 3rd May!
We're looking for men and women for a variety of roles for a new ad campaign.
Whether you're a professional actor, a comedian, or have dabbled in some am dram, we'd love to hear from you. We're particularly looking for people with some comedy experience.
We're keen to see local Irish people as well as people of various nationalities. We'd particularly like to meet some people from Eastern Europe.
There is a very nice fee if cast.
We're after men and women as follows:
- A variety of men and women aged 20-59. Characterful, fun people who aren't camera shy.
- A man or woman aged 25-35. Should look like a scientist.
- A woman in her late 30s to late 60s who is a good cook. A great character - up for a laugh.
- Men and women in their 40s with a scholarly look who like to give opinions.
- A real life butcher.
