Glad to get to the finish in Mayo!
While we only rallied 4 of the stages due to blockages and the cancellation of the last loop, it was still a huge challenge.
There was plenty of mud & standing water which could’ve caught out even the most cautious.
We took it very handy with no risks to finish 71st O/A and 8th in the class.
Thanks to Sean on the notes & Anthony, Brianie & Mike in service, who were absolutely soaked through from 9am!
Fair play to the marshals for standing out in it!

Ready to Rock for the Mayo Stages Rally!
Thanks to everyone who’s helped in the rebuild over the last year, and in getting me back out this weekend 🙌
Challenging stages lie ahead, but the tyre choice should be easy 🌧️

A good start to the year with 2 starts and 2 strong Finishes:
Shane McCarthy & I had a very clean run on the Galway International Rally in his 11f Civic. Saturday’s fast stages & Sunday’s typical Galway greasy roads were no bother to Shane on his first visit, and we were glad to come home with 5th in class.
Back in the woods with David Travers, he adapted well to his new Fiesta R2t at the Yeats Ridge Forest Rally.
Despite clutch issues, we secured 3rd in class and some decent MIJRS points for David’s campaign.
Thanks to Healy Rally Prep & the Travers family for servicing, and all organisers and marshals.
And now… Back to the Driver seat at long last for the Mayo Stages Rally!

2025 Recap 💥
Tough year on the driving side, moving up to 11f in the junior spec Civic.
A Good run in the Midlands Stages with Shane Maguire on board, holding 5th in class, ended on SS7 with Distributor failure.
Onto the Circuit of Kerry with Liam Callaghan on the notes. Unfortunately an accident on SS1 ended my season. Thanks to all who helped on scene.
Back in the Navi seat, I had a few good runs with John Ward Rallying in the Rally4 Fiesta, with Neil Tohill in the Evo X, and with David Travers in the J1000’s to end the season strongly!
Thanks to all for 2025.
Onwards to more, better and faster in ‘26!

Good to be back in the Navi seat over the past few weekends, first in Mayo & then in Laois.
Solid run with John Ward Rallying in the Fiesta Rally4 at the Mayo Forestry rally to 23rd O/A and 6th in class through the slippy north Mayo woods.
Into 4WD machinery with Neil Tohill then for the Laois Heartlands rally. We settled into the fast & flowing stages well enough to finish 32nd O/A & 4th in class.
Cheers to the drivers, mechanics and most importantly the organisers on two very enjoyable events.

Unfortunately Liam & I had an accident on SS1 of the Circuit of Kerry.
Thanks to those who stopped and checked on us, marshals & the club for putting on a great event. Stages were savage, only a shame we didn’t get further.
Thanks as ever to Chris Lee Cleaning for his support, and Dad for prep & servicing.
We’ll fix and be back soon again 💪

Great to be back out on the stages yesterday for the Midland Motorclub Stages rally.
After a cautious start in tricky conditions we found pace on the second loop of stages and moved up to 5th in class 11F.
Unfortunately on stage 7 the distributor broke, and a bodge repair mid stage only got us another kilometre before our day was over.

Onto the next one!

Delighted to have Chris Lee Cleaning back supporting me for the 2025 Season. It’s great to have an excellent local Galway company onboard!
With Shane Maguire on the notes, we start the season this weekend at the Midland Motorclub Stages rally. Hoping for a clean run on my first event in Class 11F.
Really looking forward to the season ahead and I would love to hear from anyone else who would like to get involved in supporting us this season!

2024 was another very successful season in the navigators seat with 10 events done with drivers Colm Connor, John Ward Rallying and Cyril Casey.
Galway International with Colm in his Civic was a gruelling affair but we managed a finish with the help of Rally2.
Sporadic events with Cyril in his nicely liveried Fiesta R2 were very enjoyable, particularly finishing the 3 day West Cork Rally and it’s night stages.
John & I completed the full Sligo Pallets Forest Rally Championship and were thrilled to win the Class 2A championship in what was John’s first season of rallying. We look forward to more gravel action together in 2025, but with shiny new machinery under us!
Many thanks to the drivers, their service crews, event & championship organisers and marshals for an excellent year’s rallying!
Roll on 2025…

Tricky day at the Donegal Harvest Stages Rally 2024 for Liam Callaghan & I.
After a slow start on SS2 getting to grips with the wet and muddy sections of road, we went fastest in the Juniors on 3 of the next 4 stages.
Unfortunately an overshoot on SS7 then put us out of the race for the win, and then with only 1km to go on the last stage, we got caught out on mud at low speed and slipped off the road and out of the rally.
Thankfully there’s very little damage to the car, just a disappointing end to a very challenging and enjoyable rally.
Huge thanks to dad, Eoin & Mike Dolan in service who were kept busy!
It wouldn’t have been possible without my sponsors who I would like to thank again for their fantastic support:

Thanks also to the club and the marshals, who put on a great rally despite the rain and cold!

Disappointing end to the Bushwacker rally for John & I with a broken driveshaft on SS3 after a good run on the first two.
On the plus side, start points were enough for me to clinch the Class 2A codrivers title in the Sligo Pallets Forest Rally Championship
We look forward in two weeks to Clare forestry Rally where John hopes to wrap up the drivers championship win.
