Three of the bestselling titles from the past week at Byrnes...A strong selection too Land by Maggie O’Farrell, Ironwood by Michael Connelly, and Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke. Always interesting to see what our Wexford readers are picking up.

Looook what Damian is carrying into Byrnes…The Squishy Dumplings have arrived and we have a feeling these won’t be hanging around for too long!!!
Pop in before they’re all squeezed, squashed and gone. 👀
A lot of people know us for books, toys, school books and stationery.
But there’s another side to Byrnes that people might not know as well.....This week we wanted to do something a little different and take you along with one of our school orders, packed with classroom supplies, art materials, paper, paint and office stationery. We still deliver the vast majority of our orders ourselves in our own vans. It means we can check in with the schools, answer questions, make sure everything is right, and keep that direct relationship with the people ordering from us. It’s a busy part of what we do every week, and it’s one we’re very proud of.
Did you know we offered office and school supply deliveries?

Today was a big day for Byrnes as the Byrne family officially launched the next chapter of a business that started on Court Street in Enniscorthy back in 1976.
Looking through these photos, it is hard not to notice what has always been at the heart of Byrnes. Families. Children. Grandparents. Familiar faces. Staff greeting customers by name. People who have been calling in for years alongside children discovering the shop for the very first time......And we hope that has been reflected right across the day in Enniscorthy, Gorey and Wexford town, with customers calling in to celebrate the return of the Byrnes name.
Nearly 50 years after Jim and Frances Byrne opened the first shop in Enniscorthy, the family name is back at the front of the business.

Before Byrnes became a name people knew across the county, it began here on Court Street in 1976 when Jim and Frances Byrne opened the original Byrnes store. At the time, Enniscorthy had never had a bookshop. Frances saw the opportunity, the family backed it, and what started with books grew over the years into toys, cards, stationery, school books, office supplies and a business now known right across the county.... Damian is making sure the business reconnects with the name that has been above the story from the very beginning.
Tomorrow, Saturday, Byrnes will celebrate the relaunch with a family fun day in-store, with face painting, balloons, competitions, prizes and plenty happening throughout the day. Nearly fifty years on from Jim and Frances opening the doors for the first time, the business is still growing and still investing in the town where it all began.
Well done Damian and crew, who remembers the early days of Byrnes on Court Street?

Welcome to the NEW Byrnes store on Main Street....There is really something worth celebrating when a local family business decides to put its own name back above the door. This weekend, Byrnes officially unveiled its new look on Wexford's Main Street, bringing the Byrne family name back to the forefront (35 years on) of a business that has been part of life in Wexford for generations.
Long before online shopping, before retail parks and next-day delivery, there was Byrnes. School books. Birthday presents. Christmas clubs. The book someone bought you that's still sitting on a shelf somewhere waiting for you to get round to reading...For many families in Wexford, Byrnes has been part of those moments for decades. The Byrne family opened their Wexford store back in 1991, and they're still investing in Main Street, still employing local people, and still believing there is a future for independent retail in the heart of our town. Walking through the doors today, you'll still find many of the same familiar faces customers have known for years.
Tomorrow, Saturday, Byrnes officially celebrates the relaunch with a family fun day in-store. There will be face painting, colouring competitions, balloons, prizes and plenty happening throughout the day as the team marks the next chapter of the business with customers old and new.
We often hear people talk about supporting local businesses. Businesses like Byrnes are what we need in the town.......
From the first Byrnes shop in Enniscorthy in 1976, to Wexford, Gorey, Byrnes Online and wholesale, the Byrne family name is coming back to the front of our stores.....
This Saturday, we officially launch the new-look Byrnes brand.
Face painting, balloons and family activities in-store.
We'll see you all on Saturday......
