What this means for you:

βœ… Longer lasting devices
βœ… Less e-waste
βœ… More power to the consumer
Ireland's local repair shops are ready for this and you can find one near you right now on techstuff.ie/repairs.

We've been sitting on this news for a little while and we're delighted to finally share it! πŸŽ‰
techstuff.ie has been selected for the CIRCULÉIRE Circular Venture Accelerator 2026 one of only eight ventures chosen from across Ireland to take part in this brilliant programme run by Irish Manufacturing Research.
I spent two days in Mullingar last week with an incredible group of founders, working on how we grow techstuff.ie into the platform Ireland needs for dealing with old tech responsibly resell, repair, reuse and recycle, all in one place.
Massive thanks to the CIRCULΓ‰IRE and IMR team and to everyone who has supported us on this journey so far. Big things ahead. 🌿

Sustainability Sunday 🌿
Ireland generates over 100,000 tonnes of e-waste every year.
But most of it doesn't have to end up there. A repaired phone stays in use. A sold device finds a new home. A recycled laptop keeps harmful materials out of the ground.
Small actions add up to real change.
If you repaired, sold or recycled a device this year β€” you're already part of the solution. πŸ’š

A massive thank you to The Printed Source for producing all the materials πŸ™

Great to see initiatives like this popping up around the country. Every device dropped off is potentially one less in landfill and contributing to keeping Irelands e-waste figures down.

β™» ERP Ireland are hosting a FREE Household Electrical Recycling Drop-Off Day this weekend.

Residents are invited to take this opportunity to responsibly dispose of unwanted, broken, or outdated household electrical items. Any item with a plug, cable, or battery can be recycled, including used vapes.

Event details:

πŸ“ The Mart, Kilrush
πŸ“… Saturday, June 13
⏰ 10am – 4pm

This initiative offers a convenient way to declutter your home at no cost while contributing positively to environmental protection.

Members of the public are also encouraged to bring along used batteries in support of the Batteries for Barretstown initiative.

Please remember electrical items should never be disposed of in general waste bins.
