Are you a member of the Roma community in Co. Clare? We're looking for a Roma Peer Support – Health Link Worker to help connect Roma families with health services and supports.
🕒 Part-time: 12 hours per week
📍 Based in Ennis, Co. Clare

YES, services are for everyone.
BUT not everyone can reach them easily.
Across Europe, people face barriers that slow them down, block access, or make the same path harder to climb.
These barriers are not random. They are structural.
The EU Anti-Racism Strategy acts to remove them by:
🔸 making sure equality rules are respected
🔸 acting on everyday racism (work, housing, schools, healthcare)
🔸 fighting hate and hate crime
🔸 improving equality data
🔸 supporting civil society and national actions against racism

The Roma Inclusion Project in collaboration with Conor Mahon of Clare Sports Partnership and the Traveller PHCP, was proud to attend the Traveller and Roma Men's Health Day event in Dublin, organised by Pavee Point. Our diverse team took part in the football tournament, enjoying a fantastic day of sport, connection, and community. It was a great opportunity to meet and engage with other Roma and Traveller participants, while celebrating health, wellbeing, and inclusion. ⚽👏
Je v pořádku mluvit o špatných dnech 💛 Všichni je máme a s těžkými časy se vypořádáváme různými způsoby. Ale rozhodnutí, která děláme, nás mohou buď udržet v cyklu, který je špatný pro naše zdraví 🔄, nebo nám pomoci se povznést 🌱 a začít skutečně žít život naplno ✨
Krátkodobé zvládání stresu se může v danou chvíli zdát příjemné 🍷, ale obvykle se cítíte stejně i poté, co účinky odezní 😔 (představte si sklenku vína na uklidnění, a pak máte potíže se spánkem nebo bolest hlavy 😵💫).
Procházka se nemusí zdát jako nic moc 🚶♀️, ale časem se tato každodenní desetiminutová procházka může stát místem, kde si můžete vydechnout 🌿 a vyčistit si mysl ☁️. Pokaždé, když ji uděláte, se život trochu uklidní 🩷❤️🩷

It’s okay to talk about bad days. We all have them, and we use different ways to deal with tough times. But the choices we make can either keep us in a cycle that’s bad for our health, or help us rise up so we can truly start living life to the fullest.
Short-term stress management can feel good in the moment, but you usually feel the same way after the effects wear off (imagine a glass of w**e to calm down, then have trouble sleeping or a headache!).
Taking a walk may not seem like much, but over time, that daily ten-minute walk can become a place where you can breathe and clear your mind. Every time you do it, life will calm down a little.
