Signs by Oner

A bird’s eye view will bear witness to Dundalk town’s relationship to its bay, which is the most important site in Ireland for over-wintering birds. Against the breathtaking views of the Cooley Peninsula, land and sea gradually give way, one to the other. Dundalk is built where the Castletown River enters the estuary and then falls into one of the largest, shallowest bays in Ireland, a result of the last Ice Age, whose traces dominate our region’s landscape.

The Grey Heron is frequently seen wading in the shallows, where its eagle eyesight can spot small fish in the water, which it snatches with its long beak!

Gold lettering for an ultimate classic look. Full makeover for Daniel's pub located in Seatown, Dundalk. When we were working on recreation of an old sign, Daniel asked if I could do something on the windows, too. This is my first customised and fully painted window to date, where I combine 2 types of gold leaf as well as different techniques of gold application.

Signs don't have to be always serious. Here's Roy and his 'Big Bollox' 😅 Custom signs made to order are great fun, and I'd love to do more wacky ones like this

Part of the beautiful poem that wrote for a year ago and Signs by Oner had the amazing opportunity to paint it.

565 individually pressed gold leaves were used, and we even ran a wee competition for our followers to guess the amount of gold used.

On the 2nd of February we celebrated Imbolc 🔥💡🌱 the Celtic festival of fire, light and the first stirrings of spring.

Imbolc honours Brigid, the Celtic goddess of poetry,
healing, smithcraft, and fertility. As keeper of the
sacred flame, she represents inspiration, protection,
and new beginnings. Her presence at this time
symbolises the light returning to the world, both
literally (longer days) and spiritually.
