Preoperative Electrocardiographic Findings and Their Impact on Clinical Decision-Making Among Patients Undergoing Cataract Surgery: A Retrospective Audit

This retrospective audit explores the prevalence of preoperative ECG abnormalities among patients undergoing cataract surgery and examines their influence on clinical decision-making, referrals, procedure delays, and patient flow.

The findings provide valuable insights into the role of ECG screening in ophthalmic surgical pathways and contribute to ongoing discussions on evidence-based preoperative assessment practices.
