We were delighted to present Eddie Dempsey, Senior Assistant General Secretary of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) and scourge of the boss class, with this beautiful print of our James Connolly design at the Tressell Festival.

Eddie and Mick Lynch brought the energy, hope, and ideas that have helped to invigorate the union movement in the UK in their recent struggles to Saturday's festival. The RMT, in the tradition of Connolly, sets an example that all trade unionists and socialists can learn from.

We send them our solidarity in their ongoing battles and the many ahead.

Credit to Rachel Feury for the James Connolly artwork.

We were at the inaugural Robert Tressell Festival yesterday in Liberty Hall - a fantastic event celebrating the author of the Ragged Trousered Philanthropists, and working class and trade union culture and ideas.

Dominic Behan’s classic work Teems of Times & Happy Returns is one of the great Dublin memoirs.

Behan is best known as the songwriter behind “Come Out Ye Black and Tans” and “The Patriot Game”, but the legacy which he left – as a singer, songwriter, socialist, republican, author and playwright – to working class literature, song and theatre goes far beyond those tunes.

Featuring a foreword by historian Donal Fallon and art by Rachel Feury.
