This World Environment Day, we join the global call for . As this year’s campaign reminds us, the planet is sending clear signals - from rising seas and heatwaves to melting glaciers - but it is also showing us what is possible through renewable energy, ecosystem restoration, and communities taking action. The question is no longer whether change is coming, but how we choose to guide it.

At ECO-UNESCO, we empower young people to lead positive environmental change through education, youth development, and action. By supporting communities to make informed and sustainable choices, we are helping to build a more resilient future for people and planet.

Building the capacity of educators is a key part of this work, ensuring that sustainability and climate action are embedded in learning. Through initiatives such as our QQI Ecology course, we support learners and educators to deepen their environmental knowledge and create lasting impact in their communities.
