Our First Event Announcement for Pride 2026
Metronome: Dublin Modular
Wednesday 24th June
Tickets in bio x
An evening listening session where modular and hardware electronics fuse with acoustic instrumentation. Curated as a celebration of q***r identity, experimentation, and collaboration, this event brings together some of Ireland’s most exciting electro-acoustic artists. Expect performances to blur genres, sounds and worlds. A vibrant snapshot of Ireland’s evolving contemporary electronic music landscape and grassroots communities.
Folding Waves is an international award-winning creative audio studio based in Dublin. Comprising a small team of sound designers, composers and mix engineers, united by their shared enthusiasm for the symbiotic relationship between sound and moving image.
Born from their collaboration for ICADs Reverb event (part of Irish Design Week 2025), Folding Waves will be performing alongside multidisciplinary artist, designer and musician Genevieve Howard - live processing her spontaneous harp gestures through a Eurorack modular synthesiser.
This, with accompaniment from Folding Waves‘ own Mark Bergin on heavily effected Banjo, creates a sonically rich, and texturally dense improvisational soundscape - harkening back to Ireland’s cultural music tradition through a distinctly modernist lens.
Tadhg Kinsella is a q***r Dublin-based sound artist, whose work blends acoustic performance with experimental electronic practices.
Specialising in modular synthesis, haptic sound devices, and percussion elements. Tadhg’s practice also spans contemporary sound art, and immersive installation.
Sonia Killmann is an international saxophone player and electronic musician. They have performed across the UK and Europe and are collaborating closely with Cryptic Glasgow as a Cryptic artist, working in immersive installations and audiovisual performance. Sonia’s work treads the boundaries between the familiar and the unfamiliar by merging organic and synthetic sound worlds. Sonia has been exploring Pauline Oliveros’ Deep Listening concepts through circular breathing and adapting environments in the context of live performance.

INTRODUCING OUR DUBLIN MODULAR YARD PARTY CLOSER - AUTUMNS [LIVE]
We’re currently basking in the sun, counting down the days till we’re dancing in the Yard with you all again!
Next week we have closing on Saturday 14th March. Someone we’ve been long time admirers of and lucky to have experienced performing at Open Ear & BOHs.. Having Autumns on our dance floor is sure to be a community shared journey of movement and something the dub mod team probably won’t stop talking about for a long time… .dss
“Autumns is an outlet for electronic post-punk, fused with elements of dub and sound experimentation. The project showcases a love of whip-cracked rhythms, heavily effected vocals and no-wave guitars, processed through dub techniques within the mixing desk. An obsession with freak sounds leads to a high-intensity live show, using minimal equipment for maximum results.
After a brace of rough demos, the project emerged fully formed on Karl O’Connor’s (aka Regis) label Downwards back in 2014, joining a vanguard of artists that includes Tropic of Cancer, Samuel Kerridge and British Murder Boys. Building on his continuous prolific journey with releases on Detriti, Death & Leisure and Opal Tapes, Autumns has taken the project to forms of dysfunctional metal dance, dubbed-out rhythms and DIY punk angst.”
