Sorry we haven't posted for a while, we have been working hard in securing another venue, but due to circumstances beyond our control a few things fell through last minute, but we are still very very active.

We know how loyal you are to us. And we will keep Hangar alive. So with festival season coming up and loads of great gigs around the country coming up, we want to keep you close to our hearts.

We will be launching limited edition, exclusive, Hangar merchandise. The manafacturers and designers have just finished and we will be ready to launch before next weekend.

It will be a limited run of exclusive merch, so keep an eye out over the next week, and get in fast before they are all gone, because when they're gone, they're gone, otherwise it wouldn't be exclusive.

Really bad news about Tramline, when Hangar closed they were really supportive and bought some of our equipment and we used that to pay the bills, we hope all the staff get employed very quickly.

It means we have to try doubly hard now to relight this flame, watch this space....

The end of an era…

It is with deep regret that we must inform you that Hangar is now closed with immediate effect. It has been well known that Hangar will eventually close its doors and sadly the time has come.

We had hoped to be able to throw a series of closing parties over the coming weeks to give the venue and all the people that have danced with us over the last four years a proper send-off but complications with the new lease holder means that it cannot happen.

Since work began on Hangar in September 2014, a dilapidated Warehouse venue off Dame Street has since transformed into a thriving hub for electronic music . We have to thank the countless international DJs that have joined us, the 100s of local DJs that have graced the Hangar main room, the staff and the promoters. The biggest thanks of all however goes to the thousands upon thousands of people that danced in the venue over the last 44 months; you were the heartbeat of the venue and we’re incredibly upset not to be able to close the doors having given the venue a proper closing party.

This is only a minor hiccup in Hangar’s story with Hangar 2.0 just around the corner (both literally and figuratively) so you’ll be hearing from us very soon.
