Sort of the same thing,(not as bad) happened me at a jam packed funeral! I walked down from the gallery past all the standing congregation, up to the ambo, and the organist played the intro to a different psalm!! Mass panic internally!I hadn’t got the words but I kept telling myself I knew it, I’d sung it loads of times, and just relax and let it flow! 😁 and it did! It was all fine, but I’ll never forget the fright!

For all you trained singers out there, especially my friends in the College of Music, if you ever have to get a full anesthetic, remember to ask for the small tubes!!!!! They have them and use them in London for us, because apparently our throat muscles are bigger, and we wake up with the added problem of a slaughtered throat! They might not listen, but make them!!! You have been warned!
