Happy Bloomsday from Dublin! 📖
Exploring the city through James Joyce's writing is a journey in itself, but have you visited any of its iconic locations?
While the book can feel daunting, Trinity Professor Clíona O’Farrelly has read it an incredible 24 times. Her tip? Take it slow. The “Ulysses in 80 Book Club” breaks it down into just 10–12 pages a day—perfect for dipping in and enjoying the ride.

👏 Huge congratulations to Trinity alumna Virginia Evans on winning the Women’s Prize for Fiction! 🎉
Virginia moved to Dublin in 2019 to study at the Trinity Oscar Wilde Centre, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her achieve this incredible milestone.
Her debut novel The Correspondent, a story of great joys, small tragedies, and unexpected second chances, has captured hearts and now earned well-deserved recognition. 📚✨
What an inspiring journey, well done, Virginia!

Today is Poetry Day Ireland, and this year's theme is "Home". We’d love to hear from you — what poem reminds you of home?
We’re reminded of Eavan Boland’s Anna Liffey:
“There, in the hills above my house,
The river Liffey rises, is a source.
It rises in rush and ling heather and
Black peat and bracken and strengthens
To claim the city it narrated.”
A reminder that home can flow through us, shaping who we are and how we remember.

“We started in 1996 - just myself and half a secretary - and we grew over the next few years to a thousand students and 16 staff. [The school] blossomed in 2002 when we had the national assimilation of all nurse and midwife teachers who came in, which brought the school up to 1,400 students, 100 staff. Wonderful to look back at the old days and see what the roots were like and how they've developed and strengthened in the meantime.”

🎉 Celebrating 30 Years of Excellence🎉
Last Tuesday, Trinity School of Nursing and Midwifery celebrated its 30th anniversary! The founding Head of School, former Heads of School, staff, and hospital partners got together to share this wonderful occasion.
Since its establishment in 1996, the School has been committed to shaping better experiences of birth, death, health, illness, and disability for people in Ireland and beyond. We look forward to continuing to uphold and advance this work into the future.
