'Twas the night before Pride, when all through the city,
Not a preparation forgotten thanks to our loyal committee;
The outfits were hung on bedroom doors with care,
In the hope that they'd bring their owner the wear;
The queens were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of the George float danced in their heads;
And Panti in her nightdress, and Davina in her gown,
Had just settled their heads in prep of their crowns,
When with a sudden jolt they all awoke,
Shook with fear of strong figures in pure green cloaks;
They switched on their tellys to find out the news,
And O'Neill's team shon back at them slightly battered and bruised;
And with that they sighed a breath of relief,
They were dreaming of Sunday and what it could be;
A Nation United despite neighbouring unrest,
We're banding together, all hearts in our chests;
This weekend in Ireland not an eye will be dry,
