This week, visual artist began a 3-week residency in Ballyfermot Library. 2nd class pupils from St Raphael's Primary School put on their detective hats to investigate the fascinating lore of 'The Lost Kingdom' meddling in the world of history, imagination and fantasy!
We sat down with , recipients of the Creative Hubs Performance Production Partnership Commission Award 2025, to hear about the process of creating their show ‘Buzzing’ specifically for libraries 🍯

1st to 6th classes are becoming ‘Nature Detectives’ with artists and Kata Varnyu in Ballyfermot, Cabra, Central and Coolock libraries.
The classes were invited to explore chameleons and other creatures in nature that change colour to camouflage themselves, creating colourful background and creatures that almost disappear!

We kicked off the Creative Hubs Spring programme off this week with joyful workshops, ‘Good Morning Garden’ by Shane Mc Grath 🥁
Early Years and Junior and Senior Infants have been singing and dancing and learning about animals and bugs in the garden as part of this music workshop 🎸🎤

Creative juices were truly flowing as young scientists and artists explored ‘The Forgotten Corners of the City’ with artists and 💭
They make ink from berries and plants and created beautiful drawings using natural mark makers 🍓

We have a buzzzz ....busy week this week with playful performances of a brand new show ‘Buzzing’ from in Ballyfermot, Cabra, Central and Coolock Libraries.
Bombinate was awarded the@dublincitycouncil Creative Hubs Performance Production Partnership Commission Award 2025 to create a performance of this play specifically for libraries 🍯

Last week in Ballyfermot, Cabra, Central and Coolock Libraries, we were transported to Brazil with .eliasz and 🌈 We learned some caipora, frevo and some samba in time for the carnival as part of Tic Tic Tum dance workshop 🕺💃
