Yes, and good fun it was too. Especially when you have a wood-fired oven to play with. Discovered - no surprise really - that asparagus pan roasted in the oven with salted Irish butter is pretty spectacular!

Not only is there splendidly creamy gelato from Scup Gelato on the menu (500ml tubs), but there is this, too. Cream cheese panna cotta with rhubarb and honeycomb.

A classic done well is a beautiful thing.
