Trackside this weekend at the British GT Championship supporting and the GB4 drivers & teams.
Not going to lie… watching from the sidelines wasn’t easy. But weekends like this remind me exactly why I’m pushing so hard and thank you to and Fox Motorsport for always giving me opportunities 🏎️
And a huge thank you to for the invite to attend their event today. It’s lit an even bigger fire in me, I know that grid is within reach 🔜
Post coming soon about my day alongside F1 Academy and the experience I had - can’t wait to share more 👀
Same park. Same dream. Different chapter ✨
I stood here months ago talking about getting on the GB4 grid…
and I meant every word.
I’ve worked harder than ever to make it happen, but sometimes things don’t go to plan due to funding.
That doesn’t mean it’s over.
This journey is still very much alive… just taking a different route.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported me - it means more than you know ❤️

It’s been a big few months behind the scenes.
A lot of work, a lot of pressure… and a lot people don’t see.
Tomorrow I’ll be sharing the reality of where things stand — and what’s next 🤞🏼

On track or off it… I take every opportunity. Even the KitKats 🍫
- Heard your missing something? 👀

Happy Birthday Mum 💕
People see the racing, the results, the journey…
but they don’t always see the people behind it.
From day one, you backed me when this was just a dream, from chasing me as a kid before races to eat to now making sure i keep pushing.
Now we’re chasing GB4 and the path to F1 Academy - and you’re still right there beside me.
This is as much your journey as it is mine ✨

In life, you have to look in 4 directions…
Forwards — chasing everything you’ve ever dreamed of.
Backwards — remembering where it all started.
Beside you — appreciating the people who never left.
Upwards — for the ones still guiding you.
This journey is bigger than racing.
It’s every late night, every setback, every person who believed when it wasn’t easy.
And I’m not done yet 🇮🇪

🏎️✨
When Kayleigh (Kayls) Cole came downstairs on Christmas morning 2016, she was wearing her dad’s rigger boots. She shuffled out to the shed in the dark, and there it was, wrapped in paper, unmistakable. A go-kart. Nine years later, she is one grid spot away from making Irish motorsport history.
Cole (22) from Dripsey did not follow the traditional path into motorsport. Most drivers start karting at six or seven years old. She found her way to it at 13, after years of trying and failing to fall in love with other sports. School clubs, hurling, football. None of it stuck. She laughs about it now. “I used to actually run away from the ball rather than trying to catch it.”
Motorsport, though, was always in the background. Her father was a rallying fan, her uncle a rally driver, her godfather too. “I’d always kind of been on my dad’s shoulders as a kid watching it, so when I went to my parents asking them for a go-kart for Christmas, they were like, this one has absolute notions.”

Every paddock tells a story ✨
Mine started in karting in Cork, chasing lap times and learning the foundations of racing.
Years later I’m still chasing that same dream - pushing towards GB4 and the pathway to the F1 Academy.
The ambition has always been bigger than just racing. It’s about showing that an Irish girl can compete on the international stage.
Now it’s about bringing the right partners on that journey 🇮🇪

Great Article ✨ - Share and read!
Kayleigh Cole (22) from Dripsey, Co Cork, did not follow the traditional path into motorsport. Most drivers start karting at six or seven years old. She found her way to it at 13, after years of trying and failing to fall in love with other sports. School clubs, hurling, football. None of it stuck. She laughs about it now. 'I used to actually run away from the ball rather than trying to catch it.'
She got her first go-kart for Christmas 2016. By 2018, she had earned the Junior Driver of the Year award in Junior Karting. By 2019, she had secured two karting championship titles, finished third in the All-Irelands, and earned the Pride of Ireland Award in the UK in recognition of her success.
'I never thought I’d be sitting where I am now, in front of potential sponsors that are companies that I couldn’t imagine,' she says. 'This is like any little girl’s dream. Looking back now, I think that little girl would be very proud.'
With the GB4 season approaching, Cole is ready. The only thing standing between her and the grid is money. She has gone from a budget of roughly €20,000 in karting, family-backed, kept lean, to needing approximately €200,000 to race at an international level.
She also had to make a decision that no young Irish athlete should have to make. To pursue her career seriously, she left Ireland. 'I had to make the move to the UK, otherwise I don’t think I’d be getting the opportunities I’m getting now.'
Cole does not point fingers. But she asks, plainly, why Irish motorsport has been left behind. “There’s not a massive exposure there to say, guys, there’s a guy [Alex Dunne] here on the borderline of making Formula 1.'
'There are so many opportunities for drivers to become massive for Ireland, represent Ireland on a massive stage, but I think the lack of support is stopping drivers from doing that in Ireland'
A letter to my younger self.
To the little girl who first drove a go-kart around Watergrasshill just for fun - you had no idea where that moment would take you.
From junior karting championships, to stepping into single-seater race cars… from setbacks that nearly ended the dream, to rebuilding and fighting back onto the grid.
Motorsport has tested me in more ways than I ever imagined. But every challenge has only strengthened the determination to keep going.
Today, I’m working to secure my place on the GB4 grid, the direct pathway to F1 Academy, with the ambition of becoming the first Irish female driver to reach that stage but time is ticking.
This journey has only been possible because of the people who have believed in it from the beginning - especially my family, who have stood beside me through every lap, every challenge, and every comeback.
Now we are closer than ever to turning that childhood dream into reality.
If the right partners and brands come together behind this journey, we have the opportunity to do something truly special, and put an Irish flag on the world stage of motorsport.
The journey continues 🇮🇪
International Women’s Day, to all the inspiring, talented and creative women around the globe 💕
When I started racing as a young girl in Cork, I never imagined the journey would take me this far.
Motorsport is one of the toughest industries to break into, and being a woman in it adds another layer of challenge.
But today isn’t about being the only girl.
It’s about showing the next generation that girls should never believe they can’t do something. If you work hard enough and believe in yourself, incredible things can happen.
I’m incredibly proud to be inspiring young girls and helping drive female representation in Irish motorsport at the highest level.
Right now I’m working to secure my place on the GB4 grid, the direct pathway to F1 Academy - with the goal of becoming the first Irish female driver to reach that stage and inspire more.
Imagine seeing an Irish flag on that grid for the first time. 🇮🇪
To everyone who has supported the journey so far - thank you.
And to the brands and people watching this journey unfold…
This is your chance to help make history ✨

Really excited to be working with Further Reach Marketing as an official supported athlete.
Building a career in motorsport takes far more than what happens on track. It requires the right people, the right strategy, and partners who believe in the vision.
As I continue my journey racing in GB4, with the long-term goal of becoming the first Irish female driver to compete in F1 Academy, having a team that understands both the sporting and commercial side of motorsport is incredibly important.
I’m looking forward to working closely with the FRM team to grow the platform around my racing career — from brand partnerships and digital content to creating more opportunities within the sport.
