25 years ago, Melaton had the privilege of opening for The Frames at Vicar St. in Dublin. After our 20-minute set, I was passing through the backstage area and Glen was in conversation with his crew, getting ready for the show.
When he saw me scuttling across the room, he stopped his conversation, turned to me, and said, ‘Hey, that was great man!’
He didn’t have to say that. He didn’t even know me, and he was busy getting ready to go on stage. But he said it. And to 18-year-old me, those five words from him meant everything.
They say never meet your heroes. But I’m so grateful I met Glen.

Frank got my instrument in tip top shape for ’s big night at tomorrow and I can’t wait to play it!

Exactly one month in advance of Melaton’s Reunion Show at Whelans on June 26, it was truly a pleasure and a privilege to play an acoustic set at Dublin’s legendary The Ruby Sessions last Tuesday - our first live performance in over 20 years 🥹 Thank you so much for having us! And many many thanks to everyone present in the audience for sending such good vibes across the room - we felt the love!
