But with This is the Kit aka Kate Stables (songwriter / banjo strummer / pinhole camera lover / Wi******er UK born Paris dweller), we're going to have to give time just a modicum of consideration. Because not only is Kate still here and making albums of cataclysmic honesty and welcoming tonal embraces, they are continuing to grow, which is probably the only smart way to move forward through time.

The San Diego trio, almost monday, burst onto the music scene in 2020 with their hit single "broken people" from their debut EP, quickly climbing the Alternative Radio charts. Max Cooper is an electronic composer, multi-disciplinary artist, music label founder and former scientist who has carved out a unique space in music and visual art.
On October 2nd, Max will be releasing a Fabric mix compilation around the tracks that have stuck wth him over the years. The mix brings together techno, IDM, breakbeat, ambient and neo-classical sounds, spanning seminal โ90s productions through to contemporary electronic music.
We're delighted to welcome him back to Button Factory for an all night long DJ set in collaboration with U:Mack, Hidden Agenda and Subject as part of our BF30 anniversary series.

As the bassist and sometime frontman of black midi, Picton and his bandmates practiced an explosive form of musical world-building, weaving complex story-telling through thrilling passages of controlled chaos. When the group called it quits in 2023, the artist didn't immediately feel like making a solo record or jumping back into another band. It was from this position of a not-quite team player, not-quite bandleader that Picton entered the studio and the seeds of My New Band Believe gradually began to emerge.
