The changing global context for EU external engagement and international partnerships: what does it mean for Europe and Ireland?
We are delighted to host Jozef Síkela (), European Commissioner for International Partnerships, at the IIEA. In his address, Commissioner Síkela will explore how the EU is responding to geopolitical dynamics and how initiatives such as the Global Gateway are implemented in practice. The war in Iran: what’s next?
We are delighted to host Ali Vaez, International Crisis Group’s Iran Project Director and Senior Adviser to the Group’s President at the IIEA later this week.
In his address, Mr Vaez will draw on Crisis Group’s latest analysis to assess the trajectory of the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. He will examine the strategic calculations of the key stakeholders and explore whether the region is moving toward a more prolonged and expansive conflict.

Join us for an online keynote on the ‘Digital Fairness Act’ by Isabelle Pérignon, Director for Consumer Policy at the European Commission.
This forthcoming Act is intended to strengthen online consumers protection and to protect consumers from manipulative practices and manipulative designs, unfair contractual practices, and to address the exploitation of consumer vulnerabilities. Ms Pérignon’s address will provide an overview of the Digital Fairness Act followed by a Q&A.
