πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈβ™Ώ BADIG recently took part in a Walkability Review in the Coultry area of Ballymun.

Walkability Reviews help identify barriers that can make it difficult for people to move around their community safely and independently. By bringing together people with different experiences and mobility needs, these walks help ensure that local voices are heard.

We were delighted to receive positive feedback from Dublin City Council, who highlighted the valuable contribution made by BADIG members to the Walkability programme. We are pleased to know that the experiences and perspectives shared by our members are helping to inform improvements that can make local public spaces more accessible and inclusive.

Thank you to everyone involved.

What an incredible day at the National Disability Show 2026 πŸ’œ

BADIG was proud to represent the Ballymun community at such an inspiring and positive event focused on accessibility, inclusion, independence and new opportunities for people with disabilities.

We had a fantastic day meeting so many people, sharing experiences, raising awareness about disability and community participation, and having meaningful conversations about independence, inclusion and accessibility.

We were also delighted to meet Minister Emer Higgins and speak about the importance of community support, representation and creating a more inclusive society for everyone.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, supported us, spoke with our team, and helped make the day so special. Events like this truly show the power of community connection and bringing people together.

Special thanks to Dublin City Council and Ballygall Credit Union for supporting BADIG, and to LifeGlider for collaborating with us during the event.

Let’s talk πŸ’¬

What is one thing in everyday life that you find most challenging as a person with a disability in our community?

It could be transport, access, services, or something else.

We want to hear your experiences.
