This scheme could be of interest to building owners seeking advice about conservation works, closing date 8 May 2026

The are delighted to announce that Minister James Browne TD and Minister Christopher O'Sullivan TD
have launch the Conservation Advice Grant Scheme 2026.

This expanded scheme now includes owners living in the building and not limited to vacant homes! The scheme will cover up to 67% of the costs (subject to a maximum grant of €5,000) of having a conservation expert with appropriate expertise visit a traditional building, conduct a survey, and compile tailored advice on , energy upgrades and

The CAS funding helps owners to avoid damage to their properties, benefit from the services of appropriately skilled tradespeople and ensure value for money in the completion of their projects

Grants available from the Community Monuments Fund 2026

Applications are invited for the Community Monuments Fund 2026
Owners and custodians of archaeological monuments may apply for grants to safeguard them into the future for the benefit of local communities and the visiting public.
The core aims of the Community Monuments Fund are the conservation, maintenance, protection and promotion of archaeological monuments.
Funding is available in three streams.
Stream 1: for essential repairs and conservation works at archaeological monuments.
Stream 2: for development of Conservation Management Plans/Reports to identify necessary conservation measures and any issues requiring future attention.
Stream 3: for minor works or enhancing access infrastructure and interpretation at archaeological monuments, including development of online interpretative material.
Applications by private owners or community groups for funding under the under the Community Monuments Fund must be made to the Heritage Office by 30th January. For full grant detail and application forms see https://bit.ly/3Vb5Cd3 (link in Bio)
