This Christmas we are asking party members, supporters and members of the Irish diaspora to get active on social media and send a message home urging support for the campaign for Irish Unity in 2026.

An Nollaig seo táimid ag iarr ar ball an pháirtí, lucht leanúna agus baill do diaspóra na hÉireann bí gníomhach ar do meáin shóisialta agus cuir teachtaireacht abhaile ag iarr ar tacaíocht don feachtas ar son Éire Aontaithe i 2026.

The ask is simple – don your Santa hat, grab a flag, banner or homemade sign with the hashtag , get out to a local landmark and take a short video sending your Christmas wishes home and urging people to get active in the campaign for Unity in the coming new year.

Send your video to [email protected] by the 16th of December and we will release it over the Christmas period.

DIASPORA CHRISTMAS VIDEOS 2025
Find below some draft lines people could use when filming a video. Videos should be
kept short and to the point so that we can include everyone.
People should switch it up as much as they can so not everyone is saying the same
thing.
People should begin their videos by saying Nollaig shona or Merry Christmas and say
they’re name and where they’re filming from.
It would be good to have as many videos filmed in front of a well known landmark.
Videos should be sent no later than 16th December.

Sinn Féin’s motion calling on the Irish government to plan and prepare for a United Ireland has been backed.

🇮🇪 Last night Dublin City Council voted overwhelmingly to urge the government to prepare for the reunification of Ireland. Day by day, inch by inch we are heading towards a United Ireland. The Irish government cannot continue to be a bystander as history unfolds. The planning and preparations for constitutional change must start now. We can be the generation that unites Ireland. Together we can build the great future our young people deserve. 🇮🇪

There’s only one direction that this graph has any possibility of going. It is utterly irresponsible for any Irish government not to plan for the inevitable, it needs to be done now.

We need a citizens assembly and we need to begin the process for a border poll.

The time for Irish unity is upon us, so let's starting planning for it now!

A significant interest from diplomatic corps for Sinn Féin's foreign embassies briefing in Dublin this week.

There was a total of 32 international embassies in attendance.

Discussions took place on economic development, foreign investment, infrastructure, power sharing in the north and more importantly at this juncture for our country...... Irish unity.
