Ok, I've been meaning to post this since January but classes have been so busy 😅

My group classes run every week on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays... And I can 100% vouch for knitting as the perfect way to while away February, possibly Ireland's least attractive month 😂😂😂

That's me for 2025... So what better time to say thanks to everyone who came along to classes this year, bought yarn and generally helped keep the good ship Knit With Helen afloat 😊 I'm looking forward to seeing you all again in 2026!

Some dates for your diary:
7th January: I'll be back online, answering your emails, texts and posting any online orders
8th, 9th & 10th January: First classes of 2026

Until then, I'll be spending some quiet offline time with my friends, family and unfinished knitting projects 😂 So have a great holiday season, and of course, happy knitting!

I make no promises on that last one. But hey, why not learn to knit? You never know, you might enjoy it 😁

My next Knitting for Newbies course is booking now, and it's a great place to start if you've never picked up a pair of knitting needles before. This is just a lil' reminder that my last classes of 2025 are happening this week 😊 I'll be teaching tomorrow and Friday, then that's it until the new year 😱

So if you've any burning knitting questions that need to be answered, or a troublesome woolly gift that just won't make it across the finishing line, now's the time to get it sorted 🙌 Otherwise, classes return on the 8th, 9th and 10th of January 😊

An Post has spoken! 📮

The last day they'll be able to guarantee delivery of Standard Post parcels to addresses in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain in time for Christmas will be the 16th of December.

So if you plan to spend the festive break knitting happily/making thoughtful last minute gifts for friends and family, best get your orders in now 🏃‍♀️

It's the last Saturday of 2025 😱

I know, how did THAT happen? But here we are... My last weekend classes for the year will be this Saturday, the 13th of December, and I've still got a couple of places available at 9am, 11.30am and 3pm. New students can book in via the link in my bio, regulars can just drop me an email to the usual address to secure their spot 😊

Next week, I'll be running classes as usual on Thursday and Friday (that's the 18th and 19th), then I'm clocking off for Christmas 🎄🎁 🥳

Aaaaand if you're looking ahead to the new year already, classes are back on the 8th, 9th and 10th of January. I'm taking bookings for those now, so if you're thinking about joining us in 2026, drop me a line. Your future self will thank you 😊

Knitting for Newbies is back 💥

I enjoyed my first just-for-beginners course in the studio so much this month that I decided to run it again! The next Knitting for Newbies starts on the 15th of November, and I still have a couple of places left 😊

Check my website for full details and to book your spot - the link is right there in my bio ☝️ In the course we'll start at the very beginning, covering the knit stitch and how to cast on (start) and cast off (finish) a simple knitted project.

And if you're unsure of your level... This is very much a beginner's course, and I reckon if you've done any knitting before (even if it was a while ago) you'll find the set project waaaay too easy 😂 But don't worry, I've got you covered! Sign up for one of my regular weekly group classes instead - you'll be right at home there 😊

Oh wow, what an amazing weekend at ! Thanks so much to Mira and her excellent team of volunteers for putting together another great day out... We had such a fun time and I hope all of you who came along as visitors did too 😊

I also owe a huge THANK YOU to my own support team - to Christine .oc_ and Fabio for your invaluable help throughout the day. I would have been in some state without you both 😂 Oh, and Christopher gets a grateful shout-out too for popping by with a bucket of coffee and a bag of treats at just the right time 😁 Thank you all!!
