What a day at The K Club for our RISE Charity Golf Classic! ⛳
Last week, the RISE Foundation held our Annual Charity Golf Classic at The K Club, a truly special day, made possible by the generosity of so many people.
I want to start with a heartfelt thank you to Sean Kirby of RWL, who drove this event from the very beginning and is also our main sponsor. RISE is enormously grateful for his commitment and leadership. Alongside him, Brian Allen from our own RISE team, and David Daffy and Kevin Quinn (RWL), worked closely with Sean throughout the planning, together making an outstanding team.
A huge thank you also to Michael Fetherston and the team at The K Club, who welcomed us warmly and ran everything seamlessly on the day. Thank you also to Jonas Puidokas, our photographer, for capturing the day so beautifully and to Gary Murphy for organising a brilliant Beat the Pro on the day.
We were also deeply moved by an anonymous donor's generosity, €20,000 towards RISE's work, which will make a real difference to the families we support.
A special thank you to Quintas Capital for donating the stay at Castlemartyr Resort, and to Kim Ronayne of Quintas Capital, also a RISE Foundation Board member, for her huge contribution to the day's success. Thanks also to Caroline Kirby, Aoife Scott, Andy Meaney, and Paddy Creedon for their hard work and support on the day.
Our raffle and auction were made possible by an incredible array of donated prizes, and we're so grateful to everyone who contributed, including overnight stays and golf at Royal Dublin, The Hermitage, Palmerstown House Estate, Slieve Russell, Mount Wolseley Hotel and Spa, Lyrath Estate, The Montenotte Hotel, the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, and the Conrad Hotel, as well as vouchers and experiences from The Rostrevor Inn.
We were also thrilled to receive many concert tickets from Shiv, Mary, and Peter at Aiken Promotions, and thank John Fitzpatrick for donating two nights at Fitzpatrick's Hotel New York. Thank you to John Brady for organising the Radisson Blu and Conrad Hotel vouchers, and to Jim and Maria Kennedy for a wonderful sea kayaking experience with Atlantic Sea Kayaking. Thanks to The Sibly Food Co. for adding some healthy snacks to the players’ gift bags. We're also hugely grateful to Garry Connelly and Sean Kirby, who donated some brilliant memorabilia including signed and framed pieces from Rory McIlroy, David Beckham, Pádraig Harrington and Seve Ballesteros.
To every sponsor, prize donor, and golfer who came out and played, thank you. Every contribution, large or small, helps RISE continue supporting families across Ireland affected by a loved one's addiction to alcohol, drugs, or gambling. Days like this remind us how much can be achieved when a community comes together for a cause.

🏌️♂️ The Rise Foundation are excited to announce that we are actively seeking generous sponsors and prizes for our annual fundraising Golf Classic that will be taking place in Druids Glen on the 25th August 2023.

Do you know anyone who owns or manages a hotel? We would greatly appreciate donations of overnight stays as prizes. This contribution will not only provide the lucky winners with a memorable experience but also help us raise funds for our charitable initiatives.

Do you know any organisations/companies/ businesses who would become a tee sponsor (€250) and gain valuable exposure for their brand. The Rise Foundation are running a new online 10 week family programme in February. If you have someone that you are concerned about that may have an alcohol, drug, gambling problem, then this Programme is for you.. You will learn how to manage the anxiety, stress and heartache of having someone you love who may have an unhealthy relationship with a substance or is acting out in an addictive behaviour.. There are still places available. If you are interested just fill out our enquiry form below and a therapist will get back to you..
