Huge thanks to our incredible runners who came from across Ireland and beyond to take on the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon and Cork City Marathon for Enable Ireland. 🧡👟

Thanks to the C.H. Robinson Cork Team for rolling up their sleeves and putting some elbow grease into gardening duties at our residential services at St Laurence's in Cork. We are very grateful for the support and also for funds donated towards Adult Services. Thanks again to everyone for their time, energy and commitment and a special thanks to Amy for organising.

✋It’s 🚶‍♀️♿

What’s blocking your footpath? 👀

Join Alan, an Enable Ireland Service Owner, as he takes a walk through a typical street and reveals just how many obstacles exist along the way. (Spoiler: it’s more than you think!!)

Today is about drawing attention to an issue often overlooked — the everyday obstacles that make our streets inaccessible for people with disabilities.

From cars parked on footpaths to bins, signage, and clutter, these barriers can turn a simple journey into a challenging — and sometimes unsafe — experience.

Accessibility is everyone’s responsibility. Small actions — like keeping footpaths clear — can make a huge difference to someone’s independence, dignity, and safety.

Let’s keep paths clear and spaces inclusive.

Enable Ireland would be hugely grateful if you could nominate us to benefit from the AIB Community Fund. The project we are putting forward is our Mill View Hub in East Cork. 🏡

Service Owner, Jack, shares what the new hub, in the heart of Midleton, will mean to him and others who attend our Cork services. This includes spending less time on transport and more time on building valuable skills, enjoying life-affirming activities, and becoming an active part of the community!

To enter, go to AIB.ie/community-fund and enter your name, email, Enable Ireland and the following details:

•Charity Registration Number: 20006617
• Charity Location: Munster
• Which Social Theme does your organisation support: Sustainability
• One sentence on why they should receive funding: Enable Ireland is developing a new energy A-rated day services hub for adults with disabilities in East Cork. I would appreciate AlB’s support for this vital service for people with complex needs and their families.
