THE BIOCLEAR METHOD
This advanced bonding technique involves using specially shaped clear plastic tooth forms together with heated composite matched to the colour of your teeth. When the clear forms are removed what’s left behind is a smooth, naturally shaped, shiny surface.

BIOCLEAR FOR BACK TEETH
Back teeth that are cracked, broken or have black fillings can be also treated using Bioclear. The technique actually makes back teeth stronger and can be a better option than removing more enamel to place a porcelain crown.

WORN DOWN TEETH
Bruxism(teeth grinding) at night is becoming more and more common and can result in worn down teeth which can make a smile look much older. We can use Bioclear to restore the length of worn down teeth – we will insist that after this treatment, a biteguard must be worn at night to prevent breakages

BROKEN TEETH
When teeth are chipped or broken due to trauma, the Bioclear technique can be used to restore the them to their original state without the need to remove any more of the enamel.

DIASTEMA CLOSURE
A diastema is a gap where the teeth are not in contact with each other. It can give unique character to the smile but some people don’t like having a gap. Bioclear is an ideal option for closing a diastema – there is no removal of enamel required and its completed in one visit.

TREATING BLACK TRIANGLES BETWEEN THE TEETH
Black triangles are gaps caused by gum recession or movement of the teeth, either naturally or after braces. They can make the smile look older and can accumulate stains and food debris. Bioclear can be a very effective way to close black triangle spaces. The bonding material blends in so well that the result looks very natural.

HOW LONG DOES BIOCLEAR LAST?
The longevity of all dental treatments depends on proper home care and regular visits to your dentist and hygienist. With that in place Bioclear should last approximately 10 years which is the same as a veneer and much longer than regular bonding.

IS BIOCLEAR EXPENSIVE?
Typically, Bioclear is 30-40% cheaper than veneers or crowns but giving equal and often better results. It’s also easier and cheaper to repair than porcelain veneers or crowns. It is more expensive than regular bonding but the durability and longer life expectancy of Bioclear can save you money long-term.
