Breath Note • 02

The body remembers what the mind forgets.

We often carry stress without even realising it. Three of the main tension points of the body are the shoulders, jaw, and brow.

The breath is a key. By bringing awareness to each area and using the breath, we can begin to let go of the stress the body has been holding.

A slow exhale, especially with a gentle sigh of relief, helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system—our natural rest and recovery response. As the body begins to feel safe, the muscles can soften and tension naturally begins to dissolve.

Take your time. There is nothing to force. Breathe, soften, and notice how you feel.

I'm grateful to The Well Lane for the opportunity to bring Restore the Feminine to their beautiful space for the first time.

This is a deep journey inward — an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and remember who you are.

Although centred on the feminine, this workshop is open to both women and men. I look forward to sharing the morning with you. 🤍

Breath Note • 01

A simple breathing practice to help settle the body and find a greater sense of calm.

A longer exhale activates the parasympathetic response, helping the body shift into a state of rest, recovery, and relaxation.

Take a moment to check in with yourself and notice how you feel.

Small moments of awareness can create meaningful change.

The body remembers what the mind forgets.

Stress, grief, tension, and survival patterns can remain stored within the nervous system long after the mind has tried to move on.

Over time, suppressed emotions can begin to manifest physically too — as headaches, respiratory problems, fatigue, digestive issues, shallow breathing, and nervous system overwhelm.

The breath follows the body, and the body follows the breath.

When we slow down, calm, and deepen our breathing, the body begins to soften.

When we relax the shoulders, unclench the jaw, soften the brow, and allow ourselves to feel safe again, our breathing naturally changes with it.

The lungs are unique in that they function both automatically and through intentional control, bridging the conscious and subconscious mind.

The breath is a key — one we can use to regulate, release, and reconnect.

A lot of beautiful work has been happening quietly behind the scenes recently. I'll be sharing more soon.

Until then, breathe gently with yourself. 🌬️
