River Rhythms is a mixed choir based just outside Innishannon, Co Cork. We sing contemporary songs River Rhythms is a new choir based in Innishannon, Co Cork.
It was set up both for the love of music (anyone that loves singing in the shower is welcome to join) and also to foster a sense of community in the wider Innishannon area. We sing a wide variety of contemporary songs from a wide spectrum (pop, rock, musicals etc). Both men and women are welcome and an ability to read music is not necessary. We rehearse every Tuesday from 8:00 to 9:30 downstairs in the Innishannon Parish Hall. New members are welcome all year round.
We finished our choir season on a high, singing for our community and sharing the joy of collective voices. It was a pleasure to join InnerGrace Gospel Choir and to have the wonderful diners at Rohus sing along with our finale of Tomorrow. Thank you Rohus Country Market for hosting such a wonderful evening. A truly uplifting way to close the season for the summer 🌞
A big thank you to all our supporters, families, and friends, and to the musical family we’ve grown together. We are especially grateful to the kind people of St Patrick’s, Upton, for providing us with such a welcoming rehearsal space throughout the year.
We would also like to acknowledge the work of our choir committee over the past season, and to thank our wonderful accompanist Kevin Walsh - Music for his commitment and musicianship at every rehearsal.
And finally, heartfelt thanks to our choir director Lorraine for leading us with dedication and grace over the years. Your stewardship has shaped River Rhythms, and we deeply appreciate all you have given.

🎶 January with River Rhythms 🎶
We’ve had a bright start to the year! The choir reunited after the break with a joyful road trip to Dublin to see Moulin Rouge, a brilliant trip out together.
Back in rehearsal, we eased in with candlelight and a healing circle song before diving into Come What May, which is already a firm favourite. This week brings something new: an 80s synth‑pop tune that’s adding great energy to the room.
Huge excitement for our accompanist Kevin Walsh , who appeared on The Assembly on Virgin TV — we can’t wait to see what questions he'll ask the next guest.
And behind the scenes, preparations have begun for a big milestone… River Rhythms Choir turns 10 this year. Celebrations are on the way.
Here’s to a year of music, community, and shared voices! 🎶
