Clonakilty Fire Station is staffed by a local crew of 12 which is made up of a station officer, sub-station officer, 2 driver mechanics and 8 firefighters who respond to approximately 150 incidents per year.

School’s out… but fire safety is always in! 🚒🔥

Clonakilty Fire Brigade was delighted to visit the 2nd and 3rd class pupils of Barryroe National School to deliver an engaging and interactive fire safety presentation.

Driver/Mechanic John O’Regan and Firefighter Oisín O’Halloran spoke with the pupils about fire prevention, staying safe at home, what to do in the event of a fire, and gave them an insight into the vital role of the fire service.

A special thank you to the staff and pupils of Barryroe National School for the warm welcome, and especially to Lochlann and Shea, who were delighted to have their dad, Firefighter Oisín O’Halloran, visit their school.

We hope everyone enjoyed the visit and came away with some important fire safety knowledge to share at home.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable summer from all at Clonakilty Fire Brigade. 🚒☀️
