Feel Grateful Friday News...

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, performed, volunteered, organised, and supported the SCRUBS Choir 10th Anniversary Concert in St Augustine’s Church.

The atmosphere on the night was truly special, with outstanding performances from choirs across Cork and a fitting farewell to St Augustine’s Church. It was a wonderful celebration of music, community, and generosity that will be remembered for years to come.

Thanks to your incredible support, an amazing €12,838 was raised for Brú Columbanus!

These funds will help Brú Columbanus continue providing home-from-home accommodation for relatives of patients in Cork hospitals, ensuring families can remain close to their loved ones when they need support most.

We are so grateful to the talented choirs below, who gave their time and shared their voices to make the evening such a success:

🎶 Voices of Cork – Cork City
🎶 Cór Cois Abhann – Cork City
🎶 Forte Women’s Choir – Douglas
🎶 Cantairí Mhuscraí – Ballincollig
🎶 Polyphonics – Cork
🎶 Sonatinas – Glanmire / Glounthaune
🎶 Viva Voce – Douglas
🎶 Douglas Harmonia Singers – Douglas
🎶 SCRUBS CUH Choir – Cork University Hospital

From all of us here at Brú Columbanus, thank you for helping to make such a special evening possible. Your support will make a real difference to families when they need it most.

Thankful Thursday News...

All of us here at Brú Columbanus would like to extend a huge thank you to the fantastic members of Leap and District Vintage Club for their continued support and generosity.

Once again, their tractor and vintage car run was a wonderful success. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the organisers, participants, sponsors, and supporters, an amazing €2,200 was raised for Brú Columbanus this year. This means they have now contributed over €5000 - incredible!

We are so grateful to everyone involved in making the day such a success, from those who took part in the run to those who supported the raffle and contributed in any way.

Thank you, Leap and District Vintage Club, for thinking of Brú Columbanus and for helping us support families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. 💙

Another Fantastic Contribution from the Vauxhall Opel Vintage Club

We were delighted to recently welcome members of the Vauxhall Opel Vintage Club to Brú Columbanus following their annual vintage run in Garryvoe, where they raised an incredible €752.60 in support of our families.

The event, which began at the Garryvoe Hotel, brought together a wonderful collection of classic vehicles and passionate enthusiasts for a memorable day out in the sunshine.

What makes this donation even more special is the club's continued support over the years. Thanks to their generosity, they have now contributed an amazing €3,752.60 to Brú Columbanus.
On behalf of all the families who stay with us, thank you to everyone who organised, participated in, and supported this year's event. Your kindness helps us continue providing a home from home for families with loved ones receiving treatment in Cork hospitals.

We are incredibly grateful for your ongoing support.

A Huge Thank You to Adrian Cummins!

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Adrian Cummins, who raised an incredible €4,220 for Brú Columbanus by taking part in the 2026 TriAthy.

Adrian and his partner Moya stayed with us in Wilton for several weeks when their daughter Emi was born prematurely and needed specialist care. Like so many families who come through our doors, they faced a challenging and uncertain time, and we're honoured that Brú could provide a home from home while they stayed close to Emi.

Today, we're absolutely delighted to see how well Emi is doing. Seeing families thrive after such difficult beginnings is what Brú is all about, and it makes this fundraising effort even more special.

From all of us at Brú Columbanus – thank you, Adrian, Moya and little Emi. 💙

Feel Grateful Friday News:

“Gosh” We’re Grateful!

A huge thank you to Deirdre and all of the wonderful ladies following their Craft Exhibition & Coffee Morning held in April at the Gortalassa Old School House 💛

The group very generously presented Brú Columbanus volunteer and Board Director, Liz Coakley Wakefield, with a cheque for €794, raised through the event.

As if that wasn’t enough, they also donated 15 beautiful handmade baby blankets and hat sets for families staying at Brú with premature or sick babies in hospital. The funds raised will help us continue to grow and expand our facility, while the thoughtful knitwear will bring warmth and comfort to families during what can be an incredibly difficult time.

Thank you all so much for your kindness, generosity, and support - it truly means more than words can say 💛
