Gua sha is a type of therapeutic massage technique that you can do on yourself using a round-edged tool. It’s been widely practised in China for thousands of years. ‘Gua’ means to scrape or rub, whilst ‘sha’ describes the temporary redness that results.

Gua sha is traditionally used in treatments for a huge range of health issues and sometimes I will combine this with acupuncture. It was also considered good for the prevention of illness, with treatment focussed on a particular area of the body depending on the issue. It’s said to maintain and strengthen your constitution, increasing your longevity.

I have finally developed my own facial oil specifically designed for my Gua Sha facials.

I will be selling Gua Sha facial and body tools alongside jade rollers in clinic.

Stimulating collagen, promoting improved skin texture and smoother skin while delivering energy deeper into the dermis for increased results. There will be some redness post treatment which will calm down in 24hrs.

Topical anesthetic cream is applied before treatment and post care serums applied after.

In traditional Chinese medicine, I look at the face as a reflection of what's going on inside. Your internal wellbeing plays an integral part to decipher what's going on from the inside to the outside. I also incorporate needles in various points on the body not just on the face to bring the body back into harmony which will be reflected on the outside.

Your face is also a map showing internal imbalances and using various cosmetic acupuncture techniques such as facial motor points with micro current can give your face an overall lift
