Lettercollum Kitchen Project in Connelly Street, Clonakilty, is the place to go if you fancy picking up some tasty food to take home or for a picnic. The day starts with bread and croissants and moves on to savoury and sweet tarts, pizzas, soup and lasagne by lunchtime. Cooking classes Autumn 2026

Saturday 29th August

Mediterranean

The perfect time to host this class, when the garden is still producing tomatoes, aubergines, beans and all manner of delicious things to cook

There will be lots of ‘live to be one hundred recipes’ from the south where a plant based diet is widely believed to be the reason that so many live to an old age.


Saturday 12th September

Spanish

This very edible class will include amongst other recipes tapas for sharing, the perfect tortilla, and paella or suquet. I’m not sure which as it depends on the catch that day. This class will include some fish.


Saturday 26th September

Italian

This simple and varied cuisine is a winner for most people. Expand your repertoire with fast and simple pasta dishes, bruschetta, risotto, polenta, the possibilities are endless.


Saturday 7th November

Lebanese

Enjoy the wonderful fresh Mezze, Pilafs and Salads of this beautiful country and learn how simple they are to put together


Saturday 21st November

Greek

The food in Greece is simple and seasonal. This class will be about creative ways with aubergine and peppers, delicious vegetable mezze and the secret to making filo pie.

Bumper cauliflower crop at 2.67kg. it's definitely going to give us a few dinners.

Tonight we're having classic cauliflower cheese with shirt grain brown rice (to balance the cheesey sinfulness) and a simple green salad.
