Both stand-up and lay-down tanning beds have their own advantages. Which one is “better” depends on what you’re looking for:

• More relaxing and comfortable
• Less tiring since you don’t have to stand
• Facial lamps can usually be switched off

☀️ Stand-up tanning booth
• Often gives a more even tan
• Nothing touches your body — for some, that feels more hygienic

So, stand-up or lay-down — it’s really a matter of personal preference.

However, tanning experts often recommend alternating between stand-up and lay-down sessions for a few practical reasons:

❤️ A more even tan overall.
In lay-down beds, some areas of the body press against the surface (like shoulders or hips), so those spots may stay lighter.
In stand-up booths, the UV light reaches the body more evenly from all sides.

❤️ A balance of comfort and convenience.
One day you may want to relax lying down, another day you may prefer a quick 6–8 minute stand-up session.
