Slow proofed sourdough artisan pizza & smash burgers from back of Black Horse Inn. Opened March 24.
We'd like to thank everyone who braved the elements to queue for our food last weekend.
Particularly, fair play to these lads for queueing for 27 hours out of the love of Luso. They've earned their chicken.
We'll be adding our own Louisiana Chicken Sandwich to the menu this weekend so no need for the rest of ye to abandon all. Spicy louisiana breaded chicken breast, our home made Creole Sauce, Lettuce, Mayo & Pickles. This one really is a banger!!
The even better news - no MSG or ultra processed coating or oil. We make everything in house, on the day. We'll also have a bit of spice to our pizza special. Keep the eyes well peeled 👀

We will be closing slightly earlier than usual this evening for our much belated staff Christmas Party.

We visited Drumamny Spirit Organic Farm this week and got the full tour. They have some amazing organic veg - we picked up rocket, chives ans coriander so we decided to add a cheese and onion pizza to try out the chives. We have 2 new pizzas this week, a new salad and a new dessert. Spoilt rotten ye are! Drummany Spirit

We're delighted to be the first establishment in Cavan town to stock the brand new local brewery - Breifne Brewing's Red Ale and Stout.
These are real quality drinks - created in their new facility in Killygarry - this one is a rich, smooth Irish stout with deep roasted flavour and a perfect creamy finish. 🇮🇪
Even better, we will be bringing our Flavours of the World series back home with a Breifne Brewing Stout Burger (we'll be slightly cheating with our pizza special from another continent).
And yes that is a massive head on that pint - I panicked there was no head when it was 3 quarters poured so gave it some Oktoherfest vibes. 🤪

What a weekend this has been. Huge congrats to everyone involved with the amazing . We had 2 events in the restaurant and both were absolutely brilliant. We'll sleep tomorrow.
For now we're firing out the pizzas and burgers goodo. Drop in before 8.

Drop in tomorrow to find out the location this week's Flavours of the World specials. have been hard at work making us a bespoke Andouille sausage for our pizza, we have a delicious chicken breast burger and just to spoil ye all, we also have some new wings. Any ideas where we might be??
We have the .ie painting evening on tomorrow (or seats available in the Black Horse lounge if thats not your bag).
And Friday we have a DJ set after service - check out the Cavan Arts Festival page for full schedules and tickets.
We won't be in the park this weekend (we've parked the trailer up this Summer) but drop in to the restaurant for your fix.

This week is all about flavour, flair & funky tunes ✨🎶🎨
On Friday the energy turns up to 11 when DJ Hewan .grooves will be performing a DJ set in the restaurant from 9.30. This is one not to be missed - rare African and Afro-funk grooves as part of Cavan Arts Festival that is shaping up to be an amazing night of music.
Before that on Thursday night we have Art Club .ie where you all get the chance to express your creativity while eating delicious pizza 🍷🖌️
